Each night my kids get cranky in the late afternoon and theres no amount of snack or game or entertaining that seems to satisfy. This usually happened at the same time I need to cook dinner. Normally I enlist the grumpy duo to help in the kitchen, but being pregnant and moody myself its more than I can take. Lately Ive been resorting to the TV.Unfortunately, Ive got an almost three year old boy and a six and a half year old girl and one TV. Whats a mom to do when they fight over which show to watch? Ill tell you what, get the Jakes Never Land Pirate School and Mickey Mouse Club House Road Rally for the iPad.
My girl can go watch her shows and the boy can have a blast finding treasure and connecting with his inner pirate on Jakes NeverLand Pirate School. Then he can head on over for some Mickey Mouse Club House Road Rally where he can actually interact with the iPad. Seriously. Its so cool. Micky asks you to talk to him and there are directions like shake the iPad to release the coconuts from the palm tree or it turns the iPad into binoculars to search for the chipmunks. My little guy was having so much fun that his sister came out to see what all the fun was about. What happened after that was a miracle indeed. They played together, not fighting over the iPad or what to play, they found treasures together and did the hotdog dance together. All of this was FREE and I got to watch while I cooked up a fabulous, uninterrupted dinner. Thank you Disney and your genius and for giving me that having it all feeling.
